This duet completely pulled me in and never let go. So much happens, but what stayed with me most wasn't any single event; it was the emotions behind them. This is a story filled with struggle, heartbreak, love, healing, and discovering what truly matters. Every character is carrying something, and watching them fight through their pain made this feel like so much more than a dark romance.

The constant back and forth had me questioning everything. Just when I thought I understood what was happening, another revelation turned everything upside down. The twists, the emotional intensity, and the push and pull between truth and deception kept me glued to the pages. I couldn't put it down and ended up reading the entire book in one sitting.

Elowen begins incredibly naïve, but I never saw that as a flaw. Everything she experiences is new, yet she's always honest about how she feels. Watching her navigate a world that keeps shifting beneath her feet while trying to determine who she can trust made her journey incredibly compelling. Every new truth, or possible lie, changed everything she thought she knew, and I found myself questioning things right alongside her.

Salvario completely broke my heart. Beneath his strength is a man carrying unimaginable pain, and learning everything he'd endured since childhood wasn't easy to read. His past explains so much about the man he became, and every new layer made me understand him even more. Watching him and Elowen slowly find each other while healing from completely different kinds of pain made their relationship feel incredibly genuine and emotional.

This duet never gives you a chance to breathe. Every chapter raises the stakes, every revelation changes your perspective, and every emotional moment hits harder than the last. By the end, I wasn't just invested in the romance; I was invested in these two people finding peace after everything they'd survived.
