m and j

If you're a dog lover, you'll understand the incredible bond that forms between humans and their four-legged companions. In our case, that bond is stronger than ever with our two lovable Cockapoos, M and J. These furry friends aren't just pets; they are our beloved puppies.

The Cockapoo's story began when breeders started experimenting with crossbreeding various purebred dogs. The primary aim was to create a dog with the Cocker Spaniel's friendly disposition and the Poodle's low-shedding, hypoallergenic coat. The exact date of the first Cockapoo litters is generally believed to have occurred in the 1950s or 1960s. They were initially bred as companion dogs, and their friendly, affectionate nature made them excellent family pets.

Cockapoos come in various generations, depending on the ratio of Cocker Spaniel to Poodle in their lineage. The First Generation (F1) is the offspring of a purebred Cocker Spaniel and a purebred Poodle.  The Second Generation (F2) is the offspring of two first-generation Cockapoos. A Multi-Generation (Multigen) is the offspring of two Cockapoos from multigenerational lines. Each generation can have slightly different characteristics in terms of appearance and temperament.

Throughout the 20th century and into the 21st century, Cockapoos continued to grow in popularity. Their friendly and adaptable nature, combined with their low-shedding coats, made them a hit among families, singles, and seniors alike. Today, Cockapoos are cherished pets in homes all over the world.  Their intelligence and trainability make them excellent candidates for various dog sports and activities, such as agility and obedience training.  M and J are more than just pets; they are our cherished family members.
