Teagan moves to a new town, where her friend Tori lives, after losing her parents, hoping for a fresh start. That’s where she meets Cole, who’s also rebuilding his life, just in a very different way. From the moment their paths cross, the connection between them starts to sizzle.

Cole opening up to Teagan was one of the most beautiful parts of the story. His vulnerability makes sense and watching him slowly trust her created such a powerful shift. And Teagan’s patience? Absolutely perfect. She never pushes too hard or asks more than he can give. She simply shows up for him in a way that feels steady, real, and exactly what he needs.

Tori is an amazing friend to Teagan and such a great addition to the story. She brings humor, warmth, and genuine support, giving Teagan a safe place to land. Her presence truly elevates the entire storyline.

And that ending… I was not prepared. It felt like a double twist: first a “wait, WHAT?!” moment, then an “oh no…,” and finally a full “oh my gosh.” It kept me on my toes and made the finale hit even harder.

The book is fast-paced, easy to read, and incredibly captivating. By the end, I was genuinely proud of Cole and how far he had come. His growth is quiet but powerful. And I loved how Teagan allowed herself to be honest about what she wanted, in life, in love, and in her future.  I was provided an ARC and I left this review honestly.

She’s given me my life back.  She’s given me a reason to live.
