The journey from the start of this book to the end was an absolute wild ride. The story picks up with Atticus on the outs from Aurora, and while that tension is heavy from the start, the relationship between Seven, Aurora, and Elijah grows quickly. Their connection deepens not just physically but emotionally, and every interaction between them adds new layers. Watching that bond strengthen makes Aurora’s struggle over how to deal with Atticus feel even more intense.
Aurora’s reactions to Atticus are completely understandable after everything that happened in Book 1. In this book, you really see him facing the fallout from his choices. He keeps trying to make things right while Aurora stands firm, and hearing his POV makes his regret and agony so clear. He’s broken by his own actions, but his determination to fix things shows just how deeply she got under his skin.
Even with all the emotion and relationship tension, the plot keeps moving in big ways. It doesn’t just inch forward, it makes huge strides, and the story goes far beyond what I expected. I couldn’t put it down… and that cliffhanger? Absolutely brutal. I need the next book immediately.
And I promise I won’t do anything to ruin what you found with them ever again. Even if I can never be a part of that.
