Corrupt - Penelope Douglas

I felt like this book just kept going — in the best possible way. Every time I thought the story was wrapping up, another twist or layer pulled me right back in. The plot was intense, the suspense addictive, and I genuinely didn’t want to put it down.

I absolutely loved Rika. She never tapped out — she leaned into every challenge, faced the chaos head-on, and still knew when to stand her ground. Michael’s inner conflict was written so well. The way he battled between wanting Rika and wanting to hate her created such a compelling dynamic.

Rika and Michael together? Chef’s kiss. During every private moment betwern them, even when they were bantering, their chemistry jumped off the page. And when Kai and Will were around, the energy got even better — their personalities added the perfect balance.

And my favorite scene? Hands down, the sauna. No reason in particular…

She was always there, and it was always us.
