This story brought so much emotion that I ended up reading the entire thing in one morning. It’s written in third-person POV, but in a way that feels like a storyteller sharing something deeply personal. That narrative style pulled me in more than I expected and made every moment feel intimate.
Aria moves to Chicago at the start of the book, and it’s where she meets Caleb and Dominic — two men who couldn’t be more different, yet are both drawn to her for their own reasons. Caleb is a mechanic with dreams of opening a shop with his best friend. Dominic, on the other hand, is a polished businessman on the surface and a mafia boss behind closed doors, supported by his fiercely loyal brothers.
The unique POV gives you a full 360-degree look at the story. You see every angle, every shifting dynamic, and yet you still get clear insight into how each character feels as the plot unfolds. Dominic especially shines — his world, his struggles, and his quiet intensity make him impossible not to adore. With every chapter, I found myself rooting for him more and more.
So much happens in this book emotionally and narratively. As I reached the end, I was on the edge of my seat, desperate to know how everything would come together. I won’t give spoilers, but it manages to be both happy and heartbreaking at the same time — and somehow, it feels completely perfect.
You've brought something into my life that I thought I'd lost forever.
