I felt for Thea from the very first pages. The way she was treated was awful, and I found myself desperate for her and Leander to get away. Everything she endured was overwhelming, and honestly I don’t know how she didn’t give up long before the story even began.

When she finally meets her bond, her confusion makes complete sense. She’s learning so much so fast, and her feelings are complicated in a way that felt real instead of frustrating. Watching her try to figure out what she wants while everything around her shifts was one of my favorite parts.

The men were all so different, which made their dynamic fun to read. My heart broke for Eros and everything he carried, but Lucifer’s playful energy completely stole scenes for me. I loved how protective they were of Thea while still letting her grow at her own pace. It showed how strong their bond already was.

There are a lot of side characters, and while some were wonderful (I loved Lorelai), others had that instant you’re going to be trouble vibe. The pacing worked well because the relationship builds over time instead of feeling rushed, and every twist kept the story exciting.

That ending had me staring at my book like WHAT JUST HAPPENED, and now I’m dying for the next one. Fated bonds, elemental magic, royalty, and dark romantasy all wrapped into one emotional ride. I received this book as an ARC and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

She's the only one I want touching me.
