I’ve never read a book that both made me emotional and delivered a high level of spice — but this one does both flawlessly. The whiplash from wanting to cry to wanting one (or all three) of the Banks brothers was the absolute best kind.
My heart went out to Luna from the very beginning. You learn her story right away, and for someone so young to have endured that much pain and suffering? It’s heartbreaking. The relationship between her and her mom in the prologue felt tender and promising… but the second Chapter 1 hit, everything changed. My feelings toward her mother flipped instantly, and it was all due to Richard.
Thorn, Chase, and Blade didn’t think the best of Luna or her mom at first, and honestly? Their reaction made sense given what they knew. But watching Luna deal with their judgment on top of everything else was painful. The shift in their feelings, from distrust to protectiveness, from suspicion to something deeper, made my heart so happy. It was exactly the kind of love and loyalty Luna deserved.
This book was just incredible. The spice was spicing, and every scene between Luna and the Banks brothers was intense, emotional, and addicting. The balance of tenderness, darkness, heat, and healing was perfection.
You're mine, ours, and I'll fight off god himself if he tries to take you from me.
