This book jumps straight into the action and never slows down, and I absolutely loved that. It’s fast-paced, constantly moving, and incredibly easy to devour in a single sitting.

Bexley is such a badass. She can stand on her own, protect herself, and handle anything thrown her way. But what I loved even more was how, with Taylor and Lauren, she allows herself to soften without ever losing who she is. She’s still fierce and capable, just with a genuine, vulnerable edge that makes her character even stronger.

The Sai brothers’ reactions to Bexley were some of my favorite moments. For three men who don’t normally let anyone in, they break every one of their own rules for her. I’m a sucker for the “accidental protectiveness” trope, and these brothers wear it perfectly, always watching over her without even realizing it at first. And what makes it even better is that she begins doing the exact same for them.

Bexley tries to play it cool, but it becomes obvious how much they matter to her. The scenes where she takes care of each brother individually were especially touching. And the way they bring her into their world completely, not halfway, not cautiously, but fully, says everything about how much she comes to mean to them.

And Daddy Sai? Absolutely hilarious and effortlessly charming. It’s very clear where the boys get their charisma.

For the first time in my life, my smile is real.
