This story includes a magical element, but it is such a simple and well-explained setup that understanding it takes no time at all, which I really appreciated.
Molly is such an incredible FMC. I loved her wit, her confidence, and the way she handled herself in every situation. She was smart, funny, and easy to root for. Cameron is completely smitten with Molly from the very beginning, and it was honestly so swoon-worthy to watch. I did hate that he had to keep so many things from her, but her reactions as she slowly learned the truth made complete sense and felt very realistic.
What really stood out to me was how hard Cam fought to stay in the game because of his feelings for her. That alone said so much about his character. The little game played within the game felt exactly like something you would see on a real reality show, and I loved following the path to see what happened, how it happened, and everything that came after. The pacing was perfect.
The audiobook was also such a joy to listen to. I loved Neva’s tone and delivery, it made the story fun and engaging. Since the book is mostly from Molly’s point of view, you hear Neva the most, and she truly embodied Molly’s personality beautifully.Thank you Tantor Media for providing this audiobook for review consideration via NetGallery.
