The story of Declan and Colin completely stole my heart. I loved the way it was written, weaving together the present from Declan’s POV with the past from Colin’s. That structure made their story feel even more emotional and immersive.

Watching their relationship build in the past was beautiful. Declan’s protectiveness is different from most MMCs, quieter, steadier, and deeply intentional, and I loved that about him. And the love Colin has for Declan? It’s pure, loyal, and unwavering. Every moment they shared gave me goosebumps and left me wanting so much more for them.

In the present, Declan’s ability to keep moving forward is admirable, even though he feels like a shell of a man. Colin’s insecurity was heartbreaking to witness, especially because he’s such an honorable, selfless person. He would do absolutely anything for Declan, and that depth of devotion hit me right in the chest.

This story is tender, emotional, and quietly powerful, one that stays with you long after you turn the last page. I received this as an ARC and all this reflects my honest opinion.
