I had a feeling this book was going to be fun just from the title - honestly, that’s what made me pick it up in the first place. From chapter one, I was hooked. If I had to pick a favorite part, it would be the banter. It runs through every page, and it’s so sharp and funny that it makes each chapter fly by.

Kazimir is absolutely a villain who wants all the bad things… and yet there’s something about him that’s impossible not to enjoy. His advisors were just as entertaining. The way they joke with him without getting punished shows how strong their bond is and adds such a fun dynamic to the story.

Arabella’s growth made her arc the most impressive one in the book, and watching her step into her power was everything. She changes so much over the course of the book, learning to embrace herself and reject everything that tried to hold her back. She isn’t fearless, but even when things scare her, it sparks her curiosity instead of shutting her down. Watching her step into her power was so satisfying.

The energy between Arabella and Kazimir was electric. Their connection isn’t just insta-love or slow burn - it’s something intense, complicated, and completely their own.

And the plot kept me guessing the entire time. At the start I thought it would go one way, in the middle I expected something else, and by the end I was surprised all over again. That final twist genuinely shocked me. Between the banter, the characters, and the twists, this was such a fun, memorable read. I received this book as an ARC and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

My wife had woken up and chosen violence. And f*** me if it wasn’t the sexiest thing I’d ever seen.
