I didn’t read the first three books in the series, so I know there was some context I missed—but even so, this story was captivating.
The Blood Games at the beginning set the tone, showing Serafina as someone trapped under the weight of others’ control—especially Dante’s. The power imbalance is intense, and you can feel it slowly breaking her down piece by piece.
But midway through, everything shifts. Serafina’s transformation is incredible—she goes from the girl in the collar to a woman in complete control of herself and her choices. Her growth is one of the strongest elements of the book, and watching her rise from submission to strength was deeply satisfying.
Even without the earlier books, the tension between the four main characters pulled me in. The emotional complexity, the darkness, and the final events kept me on edge until the very last page.
I will own every piece of your submission and in return I will give you the life of the only man you ever loved.
