This book picks up right where Begging for Mercy left off, diving straight back into the story without losing momentum. Their journey is tragic at times, but it’s also filled with some of their strongest, most emotional moments.
Mercy grows from feeling alone to finally allowing herself to be fully present with the men, and that shift felt natural and meaningful. Her relationship with each of them evolves in exactly the way it needs to. Zane’s arc, especially, was my favorite. He had the most to work through and the farthest distance to travel emotionally. Every realization he has hits with weight, and watching him open up was incredibly satisfying.
Kane’s relationship with Zane absolutely melted me. Every moment between them was adorable, and I was so genuinely happy for them. Kane and Sam’s progression—from where they started to where they end—made me smile too. And everything involving the men and Mercy’s family added such warmth, showing just how close-knit and welcoming they truly are.
The twists, surprises, and sudden bursts of new information were shocking in the best way. They kept the story gripping and left me even more excited for what comes next. This sequel was absolutely worth the read.
My heart vibrates as I come to terms with the chaos, knowing I can't suppress it.
