I was impressed with the direction Mercy took with this book. I expected Willow to remain quiet and submissive, accepting what came her way. Instead, watching how quickly she began to grow and step into herself was one of the most satisfying parts of the story.

Knowing two of the guys before everything began gave her a sense of comfort and stability as she transitioned into a completely new life. As she met the rest of the men, each of them bent for her in their own way. They each had different things to bring to the group which created a dynamic that was both balanced and enjoyable to watch unfold.

However, the interactions with her father, uncle, and brother were some of the most heartfelt moments in the entire book. Andrew immediately accepting and protecting his daughter showed what an incredible man he is. And Luke giving Willow everything she could have ever wanted, even with who he was, was so touching to read.

Knowing everything Willow endured makes her new life feel even more powerful. Watching her go from an unending pain to finding a family who love her unconditionally was both comforting and heartwarming. I received this book as an ARC and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

Today, but if at any time you just need a cuddle, you ask one of us, we don’t need words, but we can offer our comfort.
