This book was everything. I was completely enamored by Damien — he portrays himself as cold and detached at times, but underneath he has a big heart. I loved that Luna stood strong on her own. Her character has depth, and her pull toward the darkness felt believable and beautifully written.
One of my favorite parts (because it was a big bond between them) was how both Damien and Luna care deeply about animals. It added such an unexpected, tender side to their dark world. I completely understood Luna’s growing affection for “the wolf”. Their time together was not only intense and emotional but also spicy and unforgettable, heavy on the spice.
Damien’s protectiveness over Luna was next-level — fierce, unapologetic, and constant. What made it even better in my mind was how that protection extended to the people she loved, simply because they mattered to her.
The pacing was spot-on, and the story struck a perfect balance between spice, plot, and character development. The unexpected bits of humor sprinkled throughout were the icing on the cake. I can’t wait to see how their story ends — this book left me absolutely hooked.
No woman has ever shattered my carefully constructed facade with just one look. Until her.
