After how massively pissed Luke was when Beau and Brinley hid their relationship, I couldn't stop laughing as Luke slowly found himself doing basically the exact same thing. You would think he might have learned a lesson or two, but apparently not. The writing was on the wall, and I kept waiting for him to realize that maybe keeping his feelings in the dark wasn't going to end well.

Luke with Eden was absolutely adorable. He was gentle, caring, protective, and so incredibly proud of her. His protectiveness never meant overpowering her. He wanted to show her off, but he also stepped back and let Eden shine completely on her own. The way they supported each other and genuinely respected what the other was building with their career gave their relationship such a great foundation.

I also really appreciated how Luke handled the physical side of their relationship. He easily could have been selfish, especially with how much he wanted her, but instead he found a way to respect Eden and what she needed. That said so much about the kind of man he was.

Getting the other House of Cards couples mixed into their story made this such a fun final book. The guys together are hilarious, the friendships between the women have become something special, and I enjoyed getting those last moments with everyone.

This was such a great way to wrap up the series. I'm sad to say goodbye to this group, but I couldn't have asked for a better feeling when it ended. I received this book as an ARC and am leaving the honest review voluntarily.
