Amanda was even more chaotic, hilarious, and complicated than I expected. On the surface, she is confident, independent, completely obsessed with pink, and more than capable of taking care of herself. But underneath all of that is someone who has been carrying around the hurt of someone who disappeared eight years ago.

And then there's Kade. This man has spent eight years loving Amanda from a distance, and when he finally decides it's time to get his wife back, he doesn't exactly choose the most normal way to go about it.

What I loved most about Kade was how completely devoted he was to Amanda. He's obsessive, protective, and definitely crosses some boundaries, but underneath all of that is a man who never stopped loving his wife. There was so much yearning between them, especially because Amanda didn't know who was actually underneath that motorcycle helmet.

Their relationship was this perfect combination of ridiculous, sweet, emotional, and spicy. The banter kept things fun, but there was also real hurt between them that couldn't simply disappear because Kade came back. Amanda had questions and anger she deserved to work through, while Kade had his own reasons for staying away.

I also loved getting more of Cal and Izzy and seeing the found family continue to grow. The interactions between everyone added so much humor and helped balance some of the heavier emotions.

A masked biker, an AI boyfriend who isn't actually AI, a missing husband, stalking, second chances, and two people who clearly never stopped loving each other... somehow Laura Bishop made all of it work together.
