welcome gnome hangar

This year, for my friend's upcoming birthday, I wanted to create something unique and personal, something that would bring a smile to her face every time she saw it. I had a circular door sign, so I headed to Dollar Tree. I found a delightful gnome and the word "Welcome" - both perfect for my project. These items not only promised a fun and inviting vibe but also served as the focal points of my door hanger.

Knowing my friend's fondness for the color blue, I decided to use it as the base color for the door hanger. As I rummaged through my collection of ribbons, I stumbled upon green and orange colored ones that seemed to perfectly complement the gnome. The green ribbon added a touch of freshness and natural vibe, while the orange brought warmth and a playful contrast to the blue background.

The actual crafting process was both therapeutic and exciting. I carefully arranged the gnome, the ribbon, and the "Welcome" sign on the blue base, playing with different layouts until I found the one that looked just right. Then, using hot glue, I secured each piece in place, ensuring that they were firmly attached and would withstand the test of time.

As I stepped back to admire my work, I realized that this wasn’t just a door hanger; it was a token of friendship, a handmade gift that carried a piece of my heart. It was a testament to the joy of creating something with your own hands, especially when it's for someone special.
