Impenitent Ties - Erin Robinson

Konstantin is completely obsessed with Nadya, and he doesn’t try to hide it for a second. He shows up wherever she is, especially at the wedding, never really giving her space to just exist on her own. The things he gives her, the way he withholds information, it all feels very intentional… like he’s making sure she stays tied to him no matter what.
Nadya, at least at first, wants nothing to do with him. She resists him in every way she can. But the longer they’re around each other, the harder that becomes. You can feel her wanting him more and more, even as she tries to hide it from him and everyone else. A lot of that comes from her need to protect herself, which makes her pull back even when she’s already halfway gone for him.
It creates this really interesting dynamic where, in public, they seem unstable, almost like they’re always one step away from falling apart. But in private, they just work. When things get rough, she knows he’s the one who can ground her, and that tension between resisting him and not being able to fully deny how she feels is what makes their push and pull so compelling.
The side characters added so much to the story too. Konstantin’s brother, Viktor, and Vasily both stood out in different ways. Vasily felt like exactly what Nadya needed, someone she could lean on when she felt completely alone. And Viktor had that classic brother energy. Loyal to his Pakhan, but not afraid to speak up when it mattered.
The relationship between Konstantin and Nadya makes this a fun read on its own, but everything else happening around them takes it to another level. There’s devotion, spice, an alpha hero, violence, and just enough chaos to keep things constantly moving. It all comes together into a story that’s intense, addictive, and hard to put down. I received this as an ARC and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.
Because there isn't a line too far to cross if it means having you in my life, however that happens.
